If you have read any of our blogs for a while then you will know that as well as sharing all the good going on at Hog Roast Stone, we also from time to time like to offer out advice to other local businesses and upstarts. As an independent business started from the ground up ourselves, we believe it best to be cooperative with others in our industry, or even those even just thinking about setting up their own business.
That is why we want to take the time today to discuss customer testimonials (or reviews) and the importance of not only taking them onboard but also highlighting them where possible.
As an event caterer, Hog Roast Stone always reaches back out to our customers after their service to check in with any feedback they may have for how our team worked at their event. Often these come back with glowing praise for the service, or to highlight the helpfulness of a particular team member, or the love for a certain dish. We love seeing that of course, and we share it with the team that provided the service, but we are also fully appreciative of the more constructive feedback we receive too. Hog Roast Stone is a business that has always valued a constant level of progression, and so that comes only through what our customers tell us. Where can we improve? What might work better next time? Is there a menu that needs tinkering? These are the things we take away from our customer reviews so that we can improve for the next one. For your own business, be it in the catering industry or not, listen to what your customers are telling you.
Aside from that though, the customer testimonial is important to highlight when they do come with that glowing praise too. Catering is a passion for our team, so it is welcomed when our staff get to see the praise for all their hard work. It motivates us on for the next one! It is also useful to highlight some of these testimonials publicly to advertise that your service is worthwhile to others. Customers want to know that your service is already proven, so showing off your testimonials, even if it looks boastful, is a must! Take the pat on the back – it’s valuable in so many ways.
