FAQ – Hog Roast Catering

Here at Spitting Pig Dartford we understand that you may have a lot of questions that you need answering. We hope that the below will aid in making the enquiry / booking process with us much smoother and leave you assured that you are choosing the best Hog Roast Caterers in Dartford and the surrounding areas!

 

Is it only pork that you can offer?

Although we specialise in Hog Roasts we offer so much more than just pork. We have a range of alternative meat and fish options, side dishes, canapes, desserts – the options are endless. If you can’t see what you are looking for on one of our menus please don’t hesitate to ask us and we will do all we can to provide you with a menu to match exactly what you desire.

 

Do we need to clear away all the rubbish afterwards?

It’s all part of the Spitting Pig service to clear away all the rubbish at the end and we take it with us to dispose of ourselves. We will ensure that we leave the area as clean and tidy as it was when we arrived.

 

We are looking to book, but when are we due to pay the balance?

Once you have confirmed the details with us we will have a deposit invoice sent to you alongside the booking documents. We usually request this to be paid within a couple of days, however the final remaining balance won’t be due until approximately 2 weeks before the event. If you did want to pay this sooner or pay in full that isn’t a problem either.

 

Is there a minimum number of guests that I need to be able to have a hog roast?

Not at all, here at Spitting Pig we are able to cater for any number for guests no matter how large or small your celebration is. We are able to source larger or smaller pigs to suit your event numbers.

 

Would I need to do anything on the day of my event?

Our team is fully self-sufficient and therefore won’t need anything from you on the day. However it is your event and you can be as involved as you like or you can choose to sit back, relax and enjoy your day while we take care of everything for you. We aim to provide a stress free service for all of our clients.

 

A few of my guests have specific dietary requirements, is this a problem?

We always want to make sure nobody goes home hungry, with prior notice of any dietary requirement we will do our best to accommodate for everyone. Running up to your event you will be able to discuss with your Catering Manager the requirements for your guests and exact numbers required.

 

Is it expensive to hire the machine as I would prefer to do the cooking myself?

We aim to provide services to suit all budgets and requirements. If you let us know what budget you are working with, we will do our best to provide an excellent service still within the desired price range for you.

 

Does it matter if my party is indoor or outdoor for you to cater for me?

Not at all, our specialist equipment has been designed for both outdoor or indoor use. We can also cater in all weather conditions, and our teams are very experienced and adaptive to ever changing situations and circumstances if that be due to weather conditions, the set up area or last minute change of plans. We will adapt as well as we can to the situation to ensure we are providing the best service for you.
