Valentine’s Day is always a bustling time for Hog Roast Wilmington, and this year was no exception. From intimate dinners to lively corporate parties, we had our hands full spreading love and flavour throughout Love Day! One of our standout events was catering for a Valentine’s Day disco at a local high school, where 250 students gathered for an evening of fun and festivity.
Preparation for the event began early in the afternoon, with our team working tirelessly to ensure everything was perfectly in place before the party kicked off. Catering manager Jason led the charge, overseeing the preparation of a delicious spread that would entice the taste buds of even the pickiest eaters.
The dining area was transformed into a vision of romance, with white tablecloths adorning each table and pink and red confetti hearts sprinkled across the tops, setting the stage for an indelible evening. As the guests arrived at 6 pm, they were greeted by the mouth-watering smells of our aromatic spread, which featured Texan 24-hour beef brisket, Cajun spiced whole roast chickens, and fall-off-the-bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs.
For our meat-free guests, we offered grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, ensuring that everyone had something delicious to enjoy. Complementing the main dishes were sides of buttery corn cobettes, mixed fries, and seasonal green leaf salad, which added variety and allowed guests to experiment with unique flavour combinations.
The students wasted no time diving into the delectable offerings, their excitement evident as they filled their plates with our flavourful creations. With satisfied appetites, they were ready to hit the dance floor and enjoy an evening of music, laughter, and Valentine’s Day festivities.
The night was further elevated by a talented DJ and a variety of Valentine’s Day party games, adding an extra layer of fun and entertainment to the event. As the evening came to a close, it was clear that Hog Roast Wilmington had succeeded in creating a thrilling experience for all who attended.
