Layla is expecting her first baby later in 2023 and was so excited when her sister offered to plan a baby shower to celebrate the occasion. The baby shower was set to take place at a local function room with 30 friends and family members invited. For entertainment, plenty of baby-themed games had been planned, including ‘guess the weight’ and ‘who can change a nappy the fastest’. The Hog Roast Greenhite had been hired to cater for the occasion with our delicious slow-roast menu, followed by a delicious selection of desserts to finish. This was set to be a wonderful event with a great atmosphere and our catering would be another great addition to the day.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Greenhite team arrived at the venue in the morning to prepare for the 1:00pm serving time. For the main course, we provided a delicious slow-roasted hog, which was cooked to perfection on-site and expertly carved by our chef. The sliced pork was served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of tasty side dishes. For the dessert course, the guests could choose from a wide range of options, including sticky toffee pudding, individual cheesecakes, chocolate torte, and profiteroles. Each dish looked and tasted delicious and was a great addition to the event!
