Saturday was an exciting day indeed for the Hog Roast Greenhithe team! Our crew had been hired to cater for Lewis and Hannah’s engagement party, which saw all of their friends and family come together to celebrate the lovebirds taking the next big step in their relationship.
Like many couples these days, Lewis and Hannah had chosen a theme for their engagement party, which centred around their shared love of roller discos! With that in mind, the pair had hired out a roller disco hall and had asked their guests to come dressed to impress in their best 70s-style attire and prepared to show off their skills in the rink.
Since everyone knows that roller-skating works up an appetite and that no event is complete without some good food anyway, Lewis and Hannah sought Hog Roast Greenhithe’s help when it came to the catering side of things. Having no clue what kind of menu they wanted when they first called up to speak to us, they were glad to receive lots of helpful advice and suggestions from our catering manager, Jason, who helped them decide on our Gourmet BBQ Menu with a dessert grazing table.
This buffet, which consisted of our very own handmade best-of-British beef burgers, our chef’s own gourmet sausages, succulent chicken kebabs, BBQ meaty marinated spareribs and grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, was served to the group of 80 people at 7pm on Saturday. Adding more flavour and depth to the feast, Hog Roast Greenhithe also served up some delightful salad choices, mixed sweet potato and regular fries and homemade coleslaw along with a range of dips, condiments and rolls.
We’re really pleased with how this event went and most importantly, Lewis, Hannah and their guests couldn’t have been happier with the main buffet our team provided. They were also delighted with the grazing table that followed, which saw Hog Roast Greenhithe cover an entire serving table with delicious cookies, cheesecake slices, marshmallows and so much more! Best of all, our team’s outstanding performance on the day, paired with the value for money, has led the couple to book us for their wedding next year!
