With the clocks going back it finally feels like winter is officially here. But even without the dark mornings and even darker afternoons, the temperature, the wind, and the constant rain has probably been enough to tip you off to the wintery season.
At Hog Roast Gravesham we are determined to stave off those winter blues. We’re still reeling from an excellent summer season and just want to enjoy a little more of that autumn goodness still, even if the weather won’t play along! That’s why, for our customer’s small gathering on the first day of November we decided to buck winter trends and instead cater something of a sizzler to help heat up a chilly event!
Yes, our southern slow roast is available for winter as well as the summer. While it is a menu inspired by the summer barbecuing style of the American southern states, who is to say that you can’t still enjoy some smoke and spice in the winter months, too! The Hog Roast Gravesham catering manager Jason took this option to our customer who took to it with excitement.
In our southern slow roast customers can find a good variety of well-cooked spicy and smoky meats to enjoy. Our wintery customers for the first of November opted for our very special Texas style 24 hour beef brisket, BBQ pork butt, and our tender minted lamb. The key to getting the most flavour out
of our spice marinades and smoky dry rubs for these meats is by cooking them low and slow. That is the name of the game always with our southern slow roast, as we allow the flavour of the meat to really intensify and come out properly. What that leaves is a sizzling serving bursting with flavour in every bite! Accompanied by our cooling creamy coleslaw, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, seasonal veggies, classic Mac and Cheese, rolls, wraps, and added Sauce Shop sauces, it is a winner for even the coldest November day!
