Here at Hog Roast Eltham, we understand the struggle of hard work and determination, especially when you are working a trade in the gruelling summer heat. We want the trade workers to be rewarded for their perseverance and maintaining such an incredibly high standard of work despite the blazing sun.
This is why Hog Roast Eltham kindly hosted a free breakfast and lunch on 9th of July for the Otford Builders Merchants to celebrate world trade day. Their hard work is hungry work, and they deserve a hearty delicious meal for all their efforts. Breakfast kicked off early from 7am where we served thick cuts of real British bacon and thick breakfast sausages served in a soft bread roll, with the options of ketchup, mayo and brown sauce of course (and vegan bacon was available upon request for the vegetarian guests).
The disposable cutlery made for an easy clean up to jump right into lunch at 12pm where we served our signature whole roasted hog, precisely cut and carved to be served as juicy, tender pulled pork encased in soft bread buns (with the option of brown bread or gluten free rolls available). For the vegetarian guests, we grilled some fresh vegetables with fried halloumi cheese on long stick skewers, colourful and absolutely bursting with flavour. Again, served on disposable crockery and cutlery for a quick and efficient clean up.
We love giving back to the community and especially to those well deserving hard workers, they day was super fun with over 30 top suppliers and multiple giveaways and a raffle. The guests adored the food and gave many compliments to the servers. Whenever we get the next opportunity to host a similar events giving out free samples, we will be so happy to take it!
