Weddings make up a large portion of catering events in the catering industry, but each wedding is unique. Hog Roast Bexleyheath’s latest event was a beautiful summer wedding, where the team put together a delicious buffet for up to 50 guests to enjoy at the outdoor after party; which really made the most of the truly glorious hot and sunny weather the UK has been experiencing lately.
The catering was booked by the then fiancé Lyndsay, who wanted a fun but tasty buffet for the guests to enjoy following the happy couple’s nuptials. Lyndsay selected the classic but much loved buffet menu of Classic Hog Roast, for which Hog Roast Bexleyheath are well-known for creating.
The guests would be arriving at the lovely outdoor space of the wedding party from 1:30pm, so Catering Manager Jason from the Bexleyheath Hog Roast team arrived at the venue several hours prior to then. In the hours leading up to the guest arrival time Jason was hard at work. All the dishes for the buffet were created from scratch on site on the day of the event.
The Classic Hog Roast, comprising of a slow roasted pig, with crispy crackling, stuffing and optional apple sauce was a focal point of the serving table, but it was not the only dish on offer. There was also perfectly sizzled grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, as well as plain grilled vegetable skewers. There was also a large basket of soft gluten free rolls.
The guests tucked into the buffet as soon as they were allowed, piling the disposable cutlery and crockery the team had provided high with food from the serving table. After the buffet had been enjoyed Jason quickly tidied away, taking all the rubbish off site, so the happy couple could continue to enjoy their day without worrying about tidying up.
