Sweet or savoury? A question that just about everyone has an opinion and a personal answer for. A divide that defines dinner tables all around that country as the sweet lovers try to persuade the savoury lovers while the savoury lovers try exasperatedly to make their own case in return.
Now for a team called Hog Roast Darenth you would largely think that we are on the side of the savoury of course, the delicious and salty hog roast of our name being a prime example of the goodness within the savoury category, and for the most part we are, but even we cannot deny the brilliance of the sweet too. For many at Hog Roast Darenth, the sweet perhaps get a little undersung as the real star of the show at events, as of course the hog roast takes the full prize at the events. But we have a lot of love for our desserts too and feel they need their fair representation too.
The savoury lovers will of course always make the case that you can never really get to the sweet without first enjoy the savoury main and starter, and often times the sweet is therefore an afterthought for when you’re not quite yet full. Certainly at our events the hog roast takes preference with the dessert often being an optional course, but we reckon it is perhaps time for a rethink on that. At Hog Roast Darenth our desserts are incredible; our chefs put just as much effort and care into them as our namesake hog roast, and when guests do get to enjoy them they always love it. Our handmade cheesecakes are simply divine, our chocolate torte rich and delicious, our stick toffee pudding delightfully lavish. For the sweet lovers out there, our desserts are just about the best possible argument you could make to defend your preference.
So, when it comes to your next event with Hog Roast Darenth which will you be having? Are you coming to us for the much-lauded savoury? Or do you agree that it is about time that the sweet gets their time in the limelight?
