Leslie and Martin tied the knot 20 years ago and have been hosting anniversary celebrations every year since. Some years the couple simply enjoy a quiet night together, and other years they celebrate with friends and family. To commemorate reaching 20 years together, the couple planned to host a great event for their family and close friends to enjoy, including a delicious meal from Hog Roast Hook Green. The event was set to take place in a marquee, which was wonderfully decorated to look elegant and inviting. For the catering, Hog Roast Hook Green was hired to serve our delicious alfresco menu, as it includes a starter that is something different to our normal formal dining menu, alongside a classic main course and dessert.
Our alfresco menu begins with a delicious starter, consisting of serving platters shared between guests. The platters include an incredible selection of dishes, including sliced meats and gourmet cheese. This is a great way to introduce our catering and makes a change from enjoying a hot starter.
Following the starter is a classic main course, which includes a slow-roasted hog and all of the trimmings. The side dishes include roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, sage and onion stuffing, and more, to create a varied and delicious main course. This meal always goes down well at formal events and is a success with any kind of guest.
The menu ends with a delicious dessert course, with guests able to choose from sticky toffee pudding and chocolate torte. These dishes are served with English cream and fresh berries to create an elegant final course.
