With it officially being summer we at Hog Roast Gravesend have little doubt that many of you, much like us, are now looking forward to your barbecues – if you haven’t already been tucking in over the last few months, that is! Summer brings out the best in this country as many of us use the sun as the perfect excuse to enjoy one of the best dining experiences that Britain has to offer. We’re talking, of course, about the great British barbecue.
At Hog Roast Gravesend we are no strangers to the barbecue. We have our very own gourmet version of all your classic British favourites, plus a few Hog Roast Gravesend additions of our own – name, our own perfect hog roast for dishing up as a delicious BBQ pulled pork. We love anytime the sun comes out at events and we get to serve up our barbecue menu for our many guests at events, but amongst our customers and even internally amongst our own team, both servers and chefs, there is a hot topic debate that still needs settled before we tuck in this summer. There’s plenty of brilliance to be had with a barbecue, and much like our own gourmet menu you can start to get quite creative with your grill to produce some unlikely winners for your roll, but when it comes down to the classic barbecue there really is still the two titans that are still the topic of much debate: the burger and the sausage.
In a perfect world we’d be enjoying both in one ultimate roll, but with staunch defenders on each side of the both the burger and the sausage there has to only be one. Internally at Hog Roast Gravesend, this topic has been hotly contested between our teams. It is a fairly even split in favour of each, but perhaps some of our own customers can help to tip the scales in either direction. What’s going on your grill? Are you a burger only party? Does the addition of cheese or even bacon help sway the vote to proving that the burger is the superior BBQ item?
