Yes, this past weekend in the summer wedding season brought the Hog Roast Swale team to an event that was at once familiar and different from the many wedding events we have catered just about every weekend for the last 2 months. A vow renewal, that heralded 43 years of happy marriage and 45 years since engagement. To mark the occasion, around 42 friends and family made the journey to bear witness to a celebration of love, life, and joy together, while head chef Jason and the Hog Roast Swale team supplemented the whole occasion with a dining experience worthy of any wedding – be it today or 43 years ago! Because of course, to celebrate love and joy you also have to celebrate great foods too!
Going for a classic from our wedding repertoire, our customers favoured the signature hog roast dining experience for their renewals. A dish that is just as good now as it would have been 4 decades ago, and indeed 4 centuries ago as the hog roast has been a favourite amongst events all around the world going on that entire time. After the wonderful vow renewals, the Hog Roast Swale were hot on the heels with our hog roast buffet. Guests could mark the moment with a good helping of hand pulled pork, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, apple sauce, roasted baby new potatoes, tomato and mozzarella salad, coleslaw, mixed leaves, and a veggie alternative in our grilled veg and halloumi skewers with a cooling tzatziki dip and a tangy sweet chilli sauce.
A different pace for our wedding season, but no less filled with love, joy, and of course great foods from Hog Roast Swale!
