The summer season is all about weddings, but that doesn’t mean the season is solely about the actual weddings themselves. Wedding catering encompasses everything at Hog Roast Orpington – the whole hog, so to speak. Wedding dining with us also means your bridal showers, pre and post wedding brunches, your stag and hen do weekends. Our wedding season encompasses wedding fairs all around the country, where we meet newly engaged couples that will soon be joining us for their special day.
Of course, before they get to us at the wedding fair, they have to get engaged first – and that is worth a celebration and a catered dinner, too! So, once again, Hog Roast Orpington are called for, as we provide stylish catering for engagement parties right through the wedding season and beyond. A sneak peak of our wedding dining to come, perhaps, or something a little more casual for a party that is just all about the celebration first and foremost.
At the weekend we had one such engagement party here in Orpington, where our dining was called for to bring the celebrations up a further notch. Head chef Jason was informed that he would be cooking for 50 guests in an evening service. Our first port of call, of course, was our signature hog roast dining experience – a favourite in just about every one of our dining services, including weddings. The brilliance of our hog roast is that it can be utilised in more formal dinners when finely carved up and served with your traditional Sunday roast accompaniments, or we can hand pull and carve for a delicious meaty filling to any roll or wrap. This engagement party called for the latter, where we served our pork roast along with its typical accompaniments of sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, apple sauce, bread rolls, and further accompaniments of grilled veg and halloumi skewers, marinated chicken skewers, tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed leaves, and gourmet slaw.
