The summer wedding season continues apace. As we’ll have just about every week over the next few months until at least September, if not October, we have another brilliant wedding service to tell you all about, kindly served by head chef Jason and the Hog Roast Clapham team.
This was a wedding that went the whole hog, as it were, with our wedding dining packages. Our dining menus offer a variety of ways to enjoy a traditional wedding reception. One of our favourite ways to start is with a canape service or to have our antipasti grazing table set out. We’ve found that it is just the perfect way to go from the ceremony into the celebrations. There’s a lot of business to be done with photos, congratulations, document signings, etc, so in the meantime, having a light dining experience that gels well with guests mingling at the reception is the best way to keep things moving along nicely.
For this service we had our antipasti grazing table brilliantly set out by our wonderful serving team. The best part of our grazing table (aside from the tastes) is the mix of colours that jump from the table and make for an eye catching entrance into your reception. You’ve got the deep reds and pinks of our fine Italian meats alongside the excellent yellows and lush greens of our Italian cheeses and zesty salad leaves. Throw in some dipping oils and artisanal breads and you have a perfect starter to your wedding dining experience with Hog Roast Clapham.
We move right along from there to the main dining. Following tearful and joyful speeches, the Hog Roast Clapham then presented our whole roasted pig, finely carved up by chef Jason and served buffet style with sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, apple sauce, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, buttered new potatoes, creamy red cabbage coleslaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, and mixed leaves. Jason made sure to leave even more of our pork aside for the bride and groom, just because we knew how much they were looking forward to their hog roast especially!
