We’re all of course doing what we can to make it through this intense summer heatwave sweeping across Europe and the UK. One of those things, of course, is just to make the very most of it by getting together with friends, family, and partaking in one of the finest of the British summer traditions: the barbecue. So, then, it was the savvy thinking of one customer here in Knockholt that brought the Hog Roast Knockholt team and a delicious gourmet barbecue to a summer party of 40. When there’s 30 degree heats abound, you don’t want to be doing the hard sweat of cooking the barbecue yourself – your time is better reserved for tanning, drinks, and moving as little as possible to keep yourself cool. For this summer barbecue, the Hog Roast Knockholt team took every precaution to keep guests safe. While a barbecue in summer weather is all in good fun, with such high heats we do have to take measures to ensure both our foods are kept fresh and safe, and that guests are not put at risk of the high heats either. One of the ways we do that is by setting up our serving tent, keeping our chefs and serving team cool and shaded, along with our foods and guests as we serve. Hydration is also mightily important in such circumstances too, which we attend to as best we can throughout. With all that, guests were then free to truly enjoy their gourmet style barbecue burgers, sausages, chicken kebabs, grilled skewers, and cooling Greek salad, slaw, and roasted new potatoes without issue!
