At Hog Roast Gravesend, we were delighted to be part of a truly special celebration on Saturday 2nd August 2025, when Catering Manager Jason and his team provided a mouth-watering Hog Roast in Gravesend for Carol’s birthday party. The event took place at the welcoming Crown Inn on Perry Street, a fantastic venue for gathering family and friends for such a joyous occasion.
With 150 guests to serve, we made sure the menu was designed to impress and cater for all tastes. The centrepiece of the feast was, of course, a whole roasted pig, slow-cooked until the meat was meltingly tender and the crackling turned crisp and golden – always a firm favourite at any party. Guests tucked in with huge smiles, enjoying hearty portions and commenting on just how delicious the pork was.
To ensure every guest had something equally tempting to enjoy, we also offered a brilliant vegetarian and vegan option. The choices included our flavour-packed grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers and the ever-popular BBQ pulled jackfruit, served with gluten-free rolls to make sure everyone could tuck in without worry. For sides, the herb dressed new potatoes went down a treat, adding a fresh and flavoursome touch to the plate.
Presentation is something we take pride in, and for Carol’s party we served everything on eco-friendly bamboo crockery with matching cutlery. Not only did it look smart and rustic, it also kept the event as environmentally conscious as possible – something that many of our clients love.
The food was served promptly at 1pm, giving guests plenty of time to enjoy their meal and then continue celebrating well into the afternoon. The atmosphere was full of laughter, conversation and, of course, compliments about the hog roast itself.
